As such, this provision aligns with the recommendation for higher base salaries across the board, but not with the recommendation of concentrating raises early in a teacher’s career.

In 2021, Ravenswood gave across the board 10% raises to its teachers. The starting salary in the district is now $68,000, well above the national average of $43,000.
