A pandemic upended schools. Teacher – and student– shortages have challenged school systems to stay afloat. AI is going to disrupt schools – and is doing so already. Contracts lock systems into a one-size-fits-all approach when teachers and systems must have the flexibility to adapt to survive and thrive. Contracts must be more creative and flexible in their structure. And that has to happen right now.
